FAQ

Why rent instead of just buying used cameras?

Buying five decent Y2K digicams runs $150–500 — and then they're yours: batteries to hunt down, cards to test, and a drawer they'll live in forever after one party. Renting means tested cameras show up charged, and wrangling the photos is our problem. You get the look without the hobby.

How far ahead should I book?

A week ahead is safe. The calendar won't show dates we can't ship in time — and with a small fleet, popular weekends genuinely do sell out first.

When does the box arrive — and how do returns work?

It lands 1–2 days before your event. Afterward, repack it, stick on the prepaid label, and drop it at any USPS location by your return date. The moment they scan it, you're done.

How do we get our photos?

Within 48 hours of your box arriving back, you get a private link with every photo from all five cameras — view online or download everything at once. Can't wait? Three SD card readers are in the box; plug a card into your phone right at the party.

What if a camera gets damaged?

Add the $19 damage waiver at checkout and accidents are covered, no questions. Without it, a damaged camera is $49. A camera that never comes home is $99 — the waiver doesn't cover those, so do a headcount before the night ends. The box makes it obvious if one's missing.

What if I return it late?

$15 per day, per set. The clock stops at the USPS acceptance scan, not when it reaches us — so a same-day drop-off is never late.

Can I cancel or move my date?

Full refund up to 10 days before your ship date, 50% after that. Every booking includes one free date change with 48+ hours notice, subject to availability.

Where do you ship?

Everywhere in the lower 48 states — 2-day shipping both ways, included in the price. Alaska and Hawaii, not yet: shipping there is too slow for us to promise your box arrives on time.

Who can see our photos?

Only people with your link. Galleries stay up for 90 days, then they're deleted. We never feature anyone's photos unless you check the box that says we can.

Do I need an account?

No. Booking confirmation, tracking, and your gallery all arrive by email. No passwords, nothing to remember.
